Kazue Maruyama
Kazue Maruyama is an enthusiastic and experienced teacher. She is also a professional performer and appears in public concerts.
She first began playing the flute when she was an exchange student at Illinois State University. Kazue moved to Vancouver in 1998 where she began studying with Brenda Fedoruk and playing with several ensembles. In 2002, she enlisted in the Canadian Forces Reserve. As an army musician, she tours and records with the 15th Field Regiment of the Royal Canadian Artillery Band. She has also taught flute at the Canadian Forces Music Centre.
Kazue’s goal in teaching is to share the joy of playing this superb instrument, helping students to increase their facility and produce their most beautiful sound.
