Stephen King

A performer, composer and singer-songwriter with 15 years experience, Stephen has studied jazz (McGill), composition (Selkirk) and film-scoring (UCLA). While a student, he won The Lionel Hampton International Jazz Festival Award for Outstanding Guitarist (1999).

He has taught and performed music ranging from classical to jazz , R'n'B, musical theatre and rock, both privately and in public schools, for special needs students, children and adults alike. New to Vancouver's thriving music scene, he enjoys adapting his lessons to meet students' goals and needs, insisting that “music is an essential skill worth nurturing at any level of ability.”
