Andrew Davies
Andrew Davies has been teaching saxophone and clarinet for over 10 years. He received his degree in Jazz Performance from Capilano College where he studied composition with Brad Turner and Rob Mackenzie, and saxophone with Jack Staffored and Stan Karp. Davies has performed in Canada, Australia and Japan with his jazz group 'Spacious Couch'. The same group was nominated for Best Jazz CD at the 2002 West Coast Music Awards.
In 1997 he won 1st and 2nd place in the Jazz category of the CDIS song writing contest. He has also performed with the jazz quartet Love Seat Deluxe, Russell Jackson's Blues band, 12 piece R&B band the Dynamics and the saxophone quartet Pneumatic Arts Ensemble.
